Privacy Policy

This policy explains how StockTrail, an app published by A2B Functions, handles data when a merchant installs it on their Shopify store.
Our role
A2B Functions acts as a data processor on your behalf. You, the merchant, are the data controller; we process store data only to provide StockTrail, in line with your instructions, Shopify’s API Terms, and Shopify’s Data Processing Addendum. We process only the minimum data the app needs to function.
Information we collect
- Shopify store data. Through Shopify’s APIs: inventory adjustments, products, locations, orders, and report data used to build your inventory change history.
- Installation data. Your store domain and OAuth access tokens, needed to connect to and operate the app.
- Staff attribution. The name of the staff member associated with an inventory change, as provided by Shopify.
- Diagnostic logs. Basic error and usage logs used to keep the app reliable.
StockTrail reads order and report data to attribute inventory changes, but it stores only non-personal inventory attribution - such as staff name, reason, and reference IDs. It does not collect or store your customers’ names, addresses, emails, or phone numbers, and it does not use cookies or tracking technologies.
How we use information
- Provide, operate, and improve the app
- Sync and display your inventory change history
- Diagnose errors and maintain reliability
- Respond to support requests
- Comply with legal obligations
Service providers
We share data only with the providers needed to run StockTrail:
- Google Cloud Platform. Application hosting and database (Cloud Run, Cloud SQL) - United States
We do not sell your data or share it for advertising.
Data retention
We retain your store’s data only while StockTrail is installed. Uninstalling the app triggers deletion of your store’s data via Shopify’s shop/redact compliance webhook.
Security
Store data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Each store’s data is isolated and queried independently, access is restricted to authorized systems, and we keep diagnostic logs to detect and resolve issues.
International data transfers
Data is processed and stored on Google Cloud infrastructure in the United States.
Deleting your data
Uninstall StockTrail from your Shopify admin to delete your store’s data. We also honor Shopify’s mandatory compliance webhooks (customers/data_request, customers/redact, shop/redact). You may request deletion at any time by email.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise them, contact us at a2bcast@gmail.com.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes are reflected in the “last updated” date above.
